Me, my family and the town I belong to are famously food lovers.

Being Punjabi, we just love good food and eating. It so happens that I never knew how to cook. So, my cooking challenge began when I got married. But, I did not know where to begin and let alone knowing the names of spices or ingredients. Naturally, I needed help so I started making frequent calls back home and/or looking up the internet for recipes.

My experience with the internet recipes, baring some, was less than satisfactory - lengthy or difficult descriptions, unknown ingredient names, or just unnecessary details. I learnt the hard way and then began to explore the art of cooking by experimenting various methods and approaches.

Meanwhile, to polish my skills I attended several Masterchef programs and picked up tips from cooking alongside best cooks in my family. 

So, the idea of simple and easy recipes for all was born. My aim is to keep this blog journal simple and easy to follow - it is for beginners as well as seasoned cooks. Cooking can be very easy and enjoyable too. I can assure you, '...now anyone can cook!'
